MASSAGES
Herbal infusions of coconut oil produce calm, balance and relaxation.
* Balinese massage
This relaxing massage has been handed down through generations. The techniques of skin rolling, long kneading strokes and foot massage are believed to renew and strengthen the body. Our Bali Spice Oil is a traditional herb-infused coconut oil, blended with essential oils of fennel, ginger and vetiver.

* Aroma massage
For all the senses, unwind with a choice of aromatic oils from the spa collection. Peace of Bali with sandalwood, ylang-ylang and spice oils or Bali Sunrise with citrus, ginger and clove. A choice of massage styles is also available
* Restorative - Rhythmic light strokes with movements towards the lymphatic area produce gentle relaxation
* Energising – Relieves stress, muscle tension and aches in problem areas while deep strokes and cross-fibre massage techniques stimulate blood circulation.

* Herbal oil massage
Soothing massage given before a bath, shower or steam purifies and balances the entire physiology. It is based upon ayurvedic using warm oil and specific strokes designed to balance the nervous system and restore vital energy flows.

* Reflex massage
This specialised foot and hand massage assists in the relief of stress and tension. It helps to improve blood and nerve supply, fostering a restoration of the body's natural state of equilibrium. This technique is based on the premise that the body contains energy or chi (energy) constantly flowing through channels or zones, which unite to form the reflex points on the feet and hands.

BODY TREATMENTS
Body Elixirs cleanse, detoxify and renew with herbal rituals and garden-fresh ingredients when experiencing the Lulur Sayan treatment.
* Lulur Sayan
Experience the ultimate in relaxation and luxury with the Lulur Sayan body treatment. This Javanese beauty ritual begins with an invigorating herbal exfoliation scrub to clean and polish the skin, followed by a cooling yoghurt splash. The pampering continues with a soothing ylang-ylang petal bath and a relaxing Balinese massage using fragrant mountain flower body lotion. Finally, after body and mind have been rejuvenated, a Jamu herbal elixir is served to complete the ritual.

* Tropical rain
A calming, warm red ginger body polish prior to laying beneath the gentle caress of tropical rainfall. A ginger almond body splash cleanses the body prior to a massage using a blend of Asian oils of basil, ylang-ylang, or thyme geranium. Before a final application of mountain flower lotion, a soak in a ylang-ylang petal bath while sipping a cup of herbal petal tea.

* Healing herbal blend
The skin is revitalised with a black rice hibiscus body polish that introduces a basil rosemary mud wrap designed to a stimulate new skin growth while removing toxins. Balance and vitality is restored with a warm herbal oil massage, before a restorative and nurturing herbal bath soak.

* Sole to soul
Virtually an entire day of healthful pampering begins with a steam shower that opens the pores. Hot stone placed on your chakra points then balance and restore energy flow introducing a deep cleansing exfoliation using sandalwood, ylang-ylang and spice oils.

Completely relaxed, a Pueblo-inspired hot oil body wrap serves as a meditative interlude before an essential aromatic oil massage using either basil, bergamot, cedar wood, clary sage, geranium, lavender, patchouli or ylang-ylang. Then, a soak in a bath of frangipani before a spa lunch served with an elixir tonic.

There's more. A treat for the feet begins with a lavender eucalyptus foot soak and exfoliation prior to a foot massage using a lavender eucalyptus lotion that increases blood circulation. A final toning to the feet is imparted via a hydrating eucalyptus green tea foot mask. The head to foot pampering is completed by balancing the skin with a revitalising facial mask and an application of lavender geranium hydrating gel.

 

SKIN SCRUBS
Hand-crushed rice is blended with traditional spices to revitalise skin by gentle exfoliation to create a healthy glow. The scrub concludes with a massage for the neck and back. The following treatment is available:
* Rice and spice body scrub
Naturally astringent temu lawak roots are blended with cloves and ginger to warm the body and the muscles by increasing blood circulation. The concept of applying herbs for warmth during the rainy and cool season is a village tradition and has been used by rice farmers for generations.

* Red ginger body polish
An exquisite scrub made from organic red rice and a mixture of healing herbs. The ginger body polish is a gentle yet deep cleansing exfoliant which nurtures the skin as it removes dead skin cells. After a warming ginger almond body splash, spice lotion is used to moisten and tone the skin.

 

BODY WRAPS
Blends of earth-clay, essential oils and flowers purify by the process of absorption and draw impurities from the pores of the skin. The treatment includes a massage for the face, neck and scalp. The following treatments are available
* Clay body masque
Earth minerals help the body naturally cleanse and nourish the skin. The clay is volcanic mountain earth blended with ylang-ylang flower water. Your body is wrapped in banana leaves and you finish with a warming shower and flower lotion.

* Basil rosemary mud wrap
The green French clay invigorates the spirit and mind, and stimulates new skin cells growth while removing toxins. While the body is wrapped, a scalp and head massage is performed. After a refreshing rinse, the detoxifying wrap is completed by application of a basil rosemary lotion.

 

BEAUTY TREATMENTS

* Manicures/pedicures
Manicures and pedicures are complemented by clove-spiced and reflex massage with ginger lotion.

* Traditional oil treatment
This is the secret to the lustrous and healthy hair for which Balinese women are known. Fresh coconut oil infused with pandanus leaf, fenugreek seeds, sandalwood and cinnamon is used to stimulate blood circulation. The treatment includes a shampoo before the oil is massaged into the hair and scalp. Balinese massage strokes for the neck and shoulders are included to enhance relaxation. This oil may be left on the hair for three to four hours for deep conditioning before washing. Combine this treatment with other spa therapies or just relax beside your villa's private plunge pool.

 

AYUVERDIC TREATMENTS

* Suci dhara
“Suci” translates as awakening and balancing of the body, heart and soul in Indonesian. A scalp massage to improve circulation, relax muscles and nerves commences the treatment, followed by dripping warm herbal oils rhythmically onto the forehead for mental relaxation and clarity. Next, a warm herbal oil body massage aids detoxification, and nourishes the nervous system. The treatment concludes with a steam bath and herbal dosha tea for total well-being.

* Chakra dhara
The treatment aims to restore dosha (individual's constitution) and balance chakra (energy points) by dripping herbal oil on four key energy points along the central nervous system. Two therapists performs a back, scalp, hand and foot massage to clear toxic blockages, after which the flow of oil onto the chakras provides healing and restorative effects.

* Shiro lepa
This herbal scalp treatment commences with an ayurvedic back and scalp massage to improve circulation to the head, relax muscles and nerves. An herbal lepa (mask) is then applied to regulate scalp disorders and dryness.

* Facial lepa
This traditional ayurvedic facial aims to detoxify and nourish the skin. First it is cleansed with an herbal exfoliant, then hydrated with an herbal lepa (mask). The mind is cooled and calmed with the addition of shirodhara (pouring of oil) on the third eye, which tones and nourishes the skin.

* Sayan shanti
An excellent way to experience ayurvedic skincare for the first time. Utilising the natural active ingredients in pure essential oils, botanical extracts and herbal preparations, this treatment provides intense nourishment, leaving the skin deeply cleansed, hydrated and renewed.

* Neem restorative
Indulge and relax while you receive the restorative benefits of neem, known for centuries in India as the "Pharmacy Tree" and used for its healing, hydrating and firming qualities. A rose and lavender hydrating mask primes the skin, followed by a face pack of hand-milled neem leaves blended with a tonic of vitamins and herbs. The skin is fortified and replenished with a finishing application of a night-time nourishing oil.

* Vata supplifying
Rich in Omega-3, this anti-aging facial is a perfect way to relax and rejuvenate your skin. Enzyme exfoliation and marma point massage cleanse and heal, followed by a herbal compress mask to leave the skin deeply nourished and glowing.

* Pitta/kapha detoxifying
This purifying treatment promotes the skin's ability to release ama (toxins). An enzyme exfoliation and marma point massage gently cleanse the skin, followed by a neem and green tea face pack, which is rich in anti-oxidants. The treatment will leave skin clean, calm, and wonderfully refreshed.

* Anti-ageing hand treatment
This rich therapeutic treatment exfoliates and hydrates the hands' parched skin. A combination of effective herbs, active essential oils and natural anti-oxidants heal and balance the skin while a marma point massage, followed by a rose and lavender hydrating mask, leave your hands soft and moist.

* Beautiful eyes treatmen
tRevitalise the "windows to the soul" with this eye-enhancing treatment. An application of cool Bulgarian rosewater soothes tired eyes begins the treatment, followed by a palmarosa and chamomile essential oil blend gently massaged around the eyes to soften fine lines and reduce puffiness. Marma point massage concludes the treatment following an application of mango butter and neem extract to repair and protect the eyes.
